Gao Yanming is our Executive Chairman and is responsible for the overall strategic development and operation of the Group’s business.
He started his career as a technician in Daqing Ninth Oil Production Factory in 1987. In 1992, he joined Daqing Changsheng Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. as their assistant general manager in sales. He became the chairman and general manager of Daqing Hi-Tech Development Zone Dafeng Electronic Equipment Co., Ltd. (“DDEE”) in 1995 and was in charge of overseeing the electronic engineering aspects of the business as well as human resources and finance. He maintained the same duties when he was appointed as the chairman and general manager of Daqing Dafeng Oilfield Technology Co., Ltd. (“DDOT”) in 2002, Daqing Dafeng Technology Group Co., Ltd. in 2004, and Daqing Dominator Pump Manufacture Co., Ltd. in 2005.
Mr Gao was the People’s Representative of the 10th and 11th People’s Congress of Heilongjiang Province. He served as a committee member of Daqing City Jiusan Institute and is also the council member of the 5th China Petroleum Enterprise Society Council (2004 – 2009). He is the vice president of Daqing Beijing Enterprises Chamber of Commerce. In April 2007, he was awarded the National Labour Medal by the Chinese National Federation of Trade Unions.
Mr Gao obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in 2003 from the Harbin Institute of Technology and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree in 2005 from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.
Wu Fengwu
Executive Director and Vice-President (Sales and Marketing)
Wu Fengwu is our Executive Director and Vice-President (Sales and Marketing). He oversees the Group’s sales and marketing activities, including market development, product and service promotion, as well as customer relationship development.
Mr Wu started his career in 1997 as an office secretary in Daqing Mailing Bureau where he was in charge of the administration and liaison activities of the bureau. In 2000, he joined DDEE as its deputy general manager and was responsible for the administrative functions of the company, until he joined DDOT in 2002 as its deputy general manager and led the sales and marketing activities of DDOT. In 2004, he was appointed as the general manager of North Winner (Beijing) Technology Development Co., Ltd. and continued to spearhead the sales and marketing development of our Group.
Mr Wu graduated from Tianjin University with a Bachelor of Engineering (System Engineering) degree in 1997..
Liang Yansong was appointed as our Non- Executive Director on 26 June 2007. He is presently a Professor in the Economic and Management School of Beijing University of Technology, specialising in business management. He has been providing consultancy services to our Executive Chairman, Gao Yanming.
Mr Liang graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree, specialising in Computer Science and Engineering in 1982 and further obtained a Master of Science degree in Management Science in 1984. He was a lecturer of the Management School of Harbin Institute of Technology from 1984 to 1991. Between 1992 and 1997, he pursued his studies for a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the University of Salford in the United Kingdom. Upon graduation, he joined Harbin Institute of Technology as an associate professor at its Management School in 1997.
From 1998 to 2001, he joined the Technical Assistant Unit of EU-China Dairy Development Project, a project specialising in the development of the PRC dairy industry and funded by the European Union, as a business analyst and local consultant. He was responsible for developing and inspecting the implementation of business plans, as well as providing annual assessments of the business plans, and providing training in business management. Prior to joining the Economic and Management School of Beijing University of Technology in 2003, he was a professor at the Management School of the Harbin Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2003.
Er Kwong Wah was appointed as our Independent Director on 31 August 2007. He had served in the Singapore government civil service for 28 years including the Public Service Commission and various ministries such as the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Community Development.
He was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education from 1987 to 1994, before becoming the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Community Development until his retirement in 1998. He had previously held a number of public sector appointments, including the council member of the National University of Singapore, as well as a board member of both the Singapore Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. He had previously also served as deputy chairman of the Singapore Sports Council, and chairman and director of various Singapore government-linked companies. He has been the chairman of the Toa Payoh Central Citizens’ Consultative Committee since 1999, and a member of the Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council since 2001.
Mr Er graduated from the University of Toronto in 1970 with a first class honours degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1978, he obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from the Manchester Business School, University of Manchester.
